The Branch Student Recital encourages students of all instruments and voice to participate. Repertoire of LEVEL 2 AND ABOVE is advised and may be from any of the periods of traditional classical music: Baroque, Classical, Romantic/impressionist or 20th Century/Contemporary. (Music from “method books” is not considered acceptable. Exceptions must be approved by event chair before applying).  Consult the CM syllabus for examples of repertoire. 

 

Proper recital attire is expected (no sports-gear, please!) 

 

RECITAL ETIQUETTE:

Proper recital  etiquette is expected at all of our branch events.

Be respectful of fellow students  and other audience members while students perform. Students and family members  should sit quietly,  without movement while other students perform.  We love having our young friends see their older siblings perform and enjoy the recital experience. However, use your best judgement. If your child is too wiggly to sit quietly, consider waiting until they are ready to be good audience members.  APPLAUD!  (no cheering or yelling out) after each performer is finished so that each student feels equally appreciated.

No food please in the recital hall, please.
