COMPETITION PURPOSE

To encourage the highest level of Chopin piano performance for pre-college students (ages 18 and under) of all MTAC members (any Branch).

 

REPERTOIRE

Entrants may choose freely from the solo piano works of Chopin.

Entrants may select:

1.  one long work in its entirety

     OR

2.  one movement or multiple movements of a single sonata (total time not to exceed ten (10) minutes)

     OR

3.  a collection of shorter pieces freely chosen from the Chopin solo piano repertoire (total time not to exceed ten (10) minutes)
