MTAC-WLA Musicales for Adult Students

Guidelines

1.      Each teacher is allowed 12 minutes of playing time.  You may divide it among as many students as you wish.
On occasion, when a student or student ensemble would like to perform a lengthy advanced work, the teacher may be allowed to exceed the 12-minute time limit.  Please check with the chair to see if the timing on the specific program will allow for longer works.

2.   Programs will be limited to approximately one hour.  Performers will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  If necessary, we will schedule two Musicales for Adult Students with a joint social hour in between.

3.      Completed application form and donation must reach the chair by the entry deadline listed for that Musicale for Adult Students.

4.      Performers are asked to say a few words before they play, introducing themselves, their teacher, the work to be performed, and a few relevant remarks about the composer or the piece.

5.      A $7.00 donation per performer is requested to offset the cost of refreshments.  Please include this with the application form.

6.      Guests are welcome but seating capacity may be limited at some locations.  Teachers should kindly check with host or hostess and notify their students accordingly.  Please have students list the number of guests on the application form.
