Syllabi: Repertoire Rules and Requirements

Remain At Level (RAL), Ineligible for Certificate (IC), Make-Up Evaluation (MUP)

All new CM Teachers must attend this session.

All other CM Teachers are STRONLGY encourage to attend this session; there have been many questions and issues concerning acceptable repertoire, repertoire levels and classifications, RALs, ICs, and MUPs.

*NEW THIS YEAR* (list may be revised)

1)      MTAC-WLA Students will only be able to request Saturday or Sunday, not AM or PM.
(Please be sure that your students block the entire day for CM; they are being given over 6 months advance notice!)

2)      In addition to the current performance requirements, MTAC-WLA students must receive an 80% or higher on the written theory examination
to be eligible for the Branch Honors Festival.

3)      Minimum age for students participating in CM: 5 years old

4)      New SYLLABI for 2012 CM Evaluations in Voice, Winds, and Harp

5)      On the 2011-2012 MTAC-WLA CM Teacher Agreement Form, there will be a signature line for each of the following statements
(as outlined by the MTAC State CM Council):

1)      I have read ALL the 2011-2012 MTAC State CM Materials available from my
MTAC Teacher Home Page > CM Resources (CM Help, CM Documents, CM Newsletters)

1.       I have read the MTAC Privacy Policy.

2.       I have read the CM Policy and Procedures.

3.       I have read through the CM Teacher Education PowerPoint (.pdf format) available from my

MTAC Teacher Home Page > CM Resources > CM Documents > Teacher Education PowerPoint

2)      I am the primary teacher of all my registered students. I risk losing CM and MTAC privileges if I enter students of another teacher.

3)      I am aware of each of the following:

1.       If a student receives Remain at Level or fails theory, that student must repeat the same Path A level.

2.       Evaluators’ decisions are final.

3.       All CM registration deadlines are final.

4.       Students who bring photocopies to CM evaluations will receive an automatic Remain at Level (RAL).

4)      I am familiar with and agree to follow my branch CM work policy.

1.       I understand that my teacher work hours are based on the number of students REGISTERED as of 11:59 PM on November 15, 2011,
not the number of students who actually participate in the CM Branch Evaluations on February 25-26, 2012.
