be presented in recital at The Atelier on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at the MTAC-WLA
June General Meeting.
All participants are encouraged to attend. Please invite your friends and

The Atelier is
an outdoor performance space located amidst residential property in the hills of
Mar Vista.
Steingraeber concert grand piano.
All
winners will perform ONE piece (or a set of short pieces) from their competition repertoire.
Recommended repertoire is listed.
Winners will be contacted separately with further instructions
and recital information.
MTAC-WLA Scholarship Awards
are given in memory of Alice Frazier Kitchen, who was a long-time member of
MTAC-WLA, and who bequeathed a legacy to fund the competition. Westside Music
Foundation (WMF) Yamashita Scholarship Awards are given in loving memory of Rina
(1921-2008) and Masao (1916-2008) Yamashita to recognize ongoing dedication to
musical achievement. WMF Scholarship Awards are given through the
generosity of an anonymous donor.
